Howdy from Texas! I recently got my dad's L3000F cause he had no use for it anymore, since we live in the country he's allowing us to use it and treat it as our own.
It did NOT come with a FEL and we need one for various reasons. Once it's on I don't see us taking it off as we aren't using it for mowing, just garden/dirt work.
Currently, I've got a box blade and disc blades on it. I added 5 sacks of 80lb concrete to the discs to help put weight on them to cut into ground. The obvious problem becomes counter weight up front-- wanted a FEL anyway, I now have an excuse.
Problem is, there's no hydraulic ports that I can find. Local dealer said they'd install it for $6,600 parts and labor... I can buy a whole other tractor with a FEL for less than that though. I've seen a few local used ones, but the hydraulic hookup is my hangup. I'm not keen on cutting and brazing in ports on the steering lines (only external hard lines I can see) but I've seen on here someone mounted a "take off" block (my wording trying to describe it) to the outside of the power steering take off of the pump (I can't post links yet but the post is "274957-kubota-3000dt-adding-remotes-filter")
So my questions...
1) is this a standard part? If so, what's it called? If not, where can I get it?
2) I'm looking for someone with a L3000 that has a FEL from the dealer to pay a picture of where your hydraulics connect. It surprises me that there aren't any aux hydro connections on a tractor from the 2000's.
