Kubota L3000F

If you guys can bear with me I've got some real basic questions. I recently bought an L3000F and it's my first
tractor, so I am a real rookie.
First off I've had a tough time attaching implements. The
11.2 24 tires have a tread width of 40.2 in. making it real
tight. I'm having the dealer adjust the width to 47.2 in. for
more room to attach the implements. Any drawbacks to
doing that?
After I received the tractor I found out they had added water to the rear tires. Does that present any future problems in terms of maintenence of the tires and rims?
How does it affect air pressure?
Also my position control lever does not start lifting the
lift arms until the lever is between 3 and 4. Is that a normal
situation?
Lastly a puff of black smoke comes out for 2 or 3 seconds
when you start the tractor. Is that normal for a new tractor?
Thanks for any help or suggestions on these situations?

Most of your questions have been answered in the forums and once you learn how to search you will be able to find most answers. Now as to your questions.

Wider width equals more stability and also more load on the axle bearings. Most Kubotas are not to be operated with loaded tires and wheel weights. As long as you don't take the wheels off or puncture them you shouldn't have any problems for many many years. The wheels will be very hard to handle if you remove them because of the extra weight.

Air pressure might be a little bit lower for a more comfortable ride. Your dealer should have left about 25% of volume for air. You didn't state what type of tires you had. You don't want too much flex on the sidewalls when you put a load on the tractor. R4's have a stiffer sidewall and can tolerate fairly low pressure.

The main thing on the position control is that you have full lift at the maximum position. You didn't say whether this modle has draft control.

The puff of smoke is normal. You will also see some smoke when you put the tractor under a heavy load, such as trying to take off with a heavy load in too high of a gear.

My old Leleand smokes all of the time it is running. The only difference is that it smokes more under heavy load.
