Price Check Kubota L3010 GST pricing

Hi, I am looking at a 2001 L3010 GST, 4WD with a FEL & R-4's. It has 1800+ hours on it. The dealer took it as a trade in and did about $3500 dollars worth of work. I am supposed to get the details on this later. Everything works on the tractor as it should and I haggled them down to 10K. I think this is a reasonable offer, but I wanted to get other opinions. I will be using it to pull a 6' finish mower, light gardening etc.

Sounds like this tractor has seen allot of hard commerical work to have that many hours on it already. What was wrong with it that took $3,500 to repair? Do you have a list of the maintenance that was performed?

That is a lot of hours on a relative young tractor with premature failures that required $3500 in repairs. Kubotas are known for their durability, and it takes a lot of abuse before failures becomes an issue. I would want to know what failed?? It sounds like a rental to me, and you may want to do some more homework before deciding! Unless the dealer give you some guarantee with six months warranty, parts and labor included, I would walk; otherwise your checkbook might take a big hit! A copy of the work order performed on the 3010, may also help in your decision. I've been down that road before!!

I bought the same machine with HST and 290 hrs for $13,000. Be careful.

What work was done on it? I would be careful. IMHO lots of very good, lower hour tractors available with less risk.

I received the itemized repairs from Case. ($2200 total) Looks like they rebuilt both front final drives (seals) and changed the oil, replaced tail lights, signals, reinstalled clutch pack feed tube properly, straigtened on stabilizer arm, and freed up brake rod adjuster, clean and touch up, repair cause of engine not shutting off with key, install fuse and in line fuse holder, repair leaking back tires. Parts $450, labor $1750. Although some of these items may be small, it looks like the previous owner might have been hard on the machine. So I have backed off a bit to think about it.

In the "Golden State of California," I believe Kubota Tractors are purchased by most of the "rental outlets." Also, I think they are purchased for their durability, which requires less maintenance? Therefore, if you see a bargain on a Kubota, with high hours for years in service, with issues, you may want to find out it's "previous life." This may not apply to other states, but I would check anyhow. Good luck on your search!

I have bought numerous rental tractors here in CA, both Kubota and
Deere. The pattern I see with these heavily used machines is:

> bent buckets and sometimes loader arms

> body parts are severely dented and/or cracked. Most rental yards
don't want CUTs with fiberglass, cuz it get trashed. The sheet metal
condition is often what gives away the history of a former rental.

> no options, like remote valves. one yard here locks out the high
range by cutting off the lever or welding a plate in the shifter slot

> rear wheels set at narrow (dangerous) track position

That said, a 3010GST w/ loader in fair serviceable condition priced at
$10K will sell in a NY minute. Faster, if HST.

I have a Kubota 3010 GST... 4 wheel drive......Love the GST transmission.. Absolutely a great tractor. I have several other tractors and if this one is big enough to do the job then I want to use it each time. So user friendly and easy to operate. This little tractor is very powerful for it's size. Will handle a 6 ft disc or 6 ft bushog in reasonable conditions..
