- Kubota L3130, LA723 Loader, BH90 Backhoe, Curtis Cab, || '82 Gravely 8199KT garden tractor
Hi...
As requested... here's a link to some pictures of my new Kubota L3130
There's 1 picture in the Attachment of this post too...
I spent time marking things on the tractor with white & yellow paint pens to make 'em easier to find...
...things like engine oil & hydraulic oil drainplugs... dipsticks... fluid fill points... 3-point-hitch parts... etc...
Anyone else do this ? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Also closed up un-needed openings into the cab with weatherstripping tape to make it a little more airtight for the heater....
The Curtis cab roof has about 8-10 bolts that penetrate it... There's plastic washers under the rounded bolt heads to supposedly prevent water from entering...
As an extra precaution... I used bottle caps... sprayed oil on 'em to prevent silicone caulk from sticking... filled 'em with clear silicone caulk... then placed the filled caps over the bolt heads to seal all around 'em... hopefully the caps will come of off the silicone and leave nice silicone seals...
Next... I'm gonna add to 2 LED side marker lights to the lower front sides of the tractor... wired into the brake light wire so they are on when the lights are turned on...
Hope I get a chance to wax the tractor soon... already washed it after the sandy/salty road trip home from the dealer's...
Only missing part is the rear window wiper... should show up soon...
...oh... maybe I'll add a radio at some point... but don't wanna drown out the sweet diesel sound !
Dave...
