Kubota L3130

My Kubota calls for 6.5 litres of hydrolic fluid in the front axle. I put in 5.5 litres. I opened the overflow bolt and 2 litres drained out. Why can I not get 6.5 litres in the axle? Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

I believe the way the front axle & drive system is configured allows a good amount of air to get trapped. Try this: drive the tractor for a few hours to allow the trapped air to work it's way to the top of the fill plug area, then check the level and top it up. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times before you get all the air "burped" out.
