I was taking advantage of labor day to to get some logs I had stacked up in the edge of the woods moved over to a spot I put some cross ties down to stack them on.
These were 8ft or so oak logs 6-8" thick on average. While maneuvering the tractor to line up to pick them up with the gappler the steering suddenly became wonky. I looked and both front tires toed in to the extreme.
I checked and found the left side tie rod arm assy was bent like a horse shoe. I kept thinking I must have hit something but I cannot recall doing so. No marks or evidence of any impacts or scrapes on the rod.
Was wondering if anyone with a similar Kubota ever had this problem?
Not hard to fix, I ordered the part for $76 bux this morning.
This tractor is actually still under warranty but the HASSLE of loading it up and carrying to the dealer and sitting there while they take all day on a 30 minute fix is a deal breaker.
