I don't think the 3320 and the
L3400 are in the same class, In my opinion. And what I mean by that is fit and finish. I started out looking at the
L2800 compared to the 3203. I think that JD model was to compete with teh
L2800 and
L3400.
I've been shopping the last 2 months and have settled on the Grand L series of Kubotas. I started out looking at the JD's and actually demo'd a 3520 with 300X, EHydro for a weekend. Great tractor but didn't have the physical size I wanted. When the physical size went up so did the $$ and the hp. I was also looking at Cabs and JD didn't offer the Cab is some of the lower 4XXX series.
The HST+ on the grands had everything the JD didn't that I wanted. The auto Throttle response, and a mode that incorporates anti stall (load match) and the H-DS makes the 3 range a 6 range and life a breeze.
I looked at the NH's last and it also was lacking these features. It was more in the physical size matched with the right hp that I was looking for at about the same price as the JD.
One thing that I notices was the Kubota's were cheaper, and the fact the dealers stock more provided me with more choices from the pre price increase. It's seems all three have recently went up.
A bit off track, but I guess what I'm saying is the JD you are comparing is a nicer tractor overal to the
L3400. Apples to oranges. I would think the 3203JD would compare better to the
L3400. But I've seen 3 dozen tractors since I looked at those so I might be a bit cloudy right now.. haha
