Does anyone know where/how to adjust the parking brake on a L3400 HST Kubota ? I have 17 hours on mine and the parking brake is no longer working that well. When I first got it the tractor held well even on inclines. I still would drop the FEL and rear attachments in addition to throttle down and low gear to be safe. Now it will slowly inch up even on level ground unless I drop the FEL and I usually shut down just to be safe. Odd part is that SOMETIMES it does work well but I don't trust it anymore.

I am sure a simple adjustment can resolve the issue but I would like to take care of it before my 50hr maint. I don't want to bother or pay the dealer to transport on such a simple thing since I don't have a trailer and my 50 hours will probably be here in another month or two of LONG weekends.

On my L2800 if I don't push down the brake pedal far enough I do not get a good parking brake hold, I have not looked at it but I'm pretty sure there are ratcheting catches for different hold pressures.
My other tractor is set up this way also.
So you may not be pushing the brake pedal down far enough but if you are then there should be an adjustment on the parking brake lever.
I have 195 hrs on mine and it holds just fine when I use it.

I'll give that a try this weekend. It could very well be since I usually throttle down and am in low gear when I stop. Not much of a need for brake so I may not be pushing down hard enough.

Wish I could help you. Mine has never worked very well.

I looked at my L2800 this morning and it is just like my other tractor... the lever has serrated teeth about 2" long so it can be engaged a little or alot...it just depends upon how much you push the brake pedal down.

your brakes may need adjustment. the parking brake only holds the brake pedal in place.

look under the machine near the rear axle. you will see a rod on each side that sends pressure to the brakes (push pedal to verify- you will see it move). remove the cotter pins, turn the threaded ends to make the overall length slightly longer, reinstall. that should fix you up.
