Purchased the new L3901 w/straight trans. Price (package w/loader, blade, bush hog, trailer) was the same as the L3800 w/same trans. Couldn't find anything in the L3800 w/straight drive. Tons of HST units but not willing to give up the HP.
Have worked it (hard) for the last 3 Saturdays. Have 16 hrs. on it. Runs like a champ. Tons of power. Nice action on the 3P Hitch (smooth) and gets unreal time/gallon at this point. No real complaints yet but its early. Have had several tractors in this size (other brands) and this one is as good as anything out there.
Don't let the Emission Chamber and change to e-injection scare you. When you do your homework, it is a simple system with minimal need for attention. Grab the L3901 and get to work. No issues!

I love my 3901. The way I see it if/when problems start surfacing with the dpf, hopefully by that time somone will have a delete kit. Problem solved
