Don't believe Kubota ever made a model L405.
Could it be a L45 ???????????? :confused2:

I believe I made a mistake when posting back telling you Bota never made a L405.I was on phone reading TBN thread/post with a Kubota dealer ordering some parts.I asked counter sales person about your request and info. on L405,they told me to hang on a second when the sales person got back to me they told me Kubota never made a L405.Thats when I answered your thread and said what I said.I goggled L405 and then found some info.

In the future I will question any info that counter person tells me.Also I could have requested(asked mods) to delete my post because info I gave was not accurate.I'am the one who has to live with myself and the man in me knows that would have been wrong.Please accept my appologie.As GOD as my witness this is how this happened.

Honest mistake Boone, this is not a US model tractor. It would be considered a Grey Market tractor here. The international members would probably know about this machine. He might also try asking in the Grey Market section.

Yeah I hear ya Brian,I even looked it up on TRACTORHOUSE and TRACTOR.DATA.TH had none of them models for sale and TD had no info on it whatsoever.

Thanks "DiezNutz" that last sentence is actually pretty funny.I think I 'd be able to handle them as long as pitch forks don't have poop on them espeicially if their from"Some people are pigs" thread. :laughing:

I thank all of you for your assistance. I think they were specifically made for the Australian and NZ market and I have not been successful in finding literature on them. I also found the original sales sheet from 1982, but unfortunately after that I have run into dead ends.

Hi, we have a Kubota L 405 also, the DT (dual transmission) model.
It was new circa 1982, and is getting a bit tired these days, and has a few issues, but it's still a useful tractor.

We're having a zero lift capacity in the 3-point-linkage problems, suddenly.
Also the gear selectors won't work in the 2 lowest superslow ranges, but that's not really a problem. The 3PL issue is a pain.

We're in Qld, Australia, and I did manage to buy the service parts exploded diagram book a long time ago, but no service manual.

The key switch was deactivated a long time ago-it's a screwdriver in the startermotor to start it, idea, with a bit of aerostart...
