Hello Everyone,

I hope no one minds me opening a new thread on this project but after my initial mock up I discovered some flaws in my design so I tore it down and started over, I now have a good looking cab that is progressing nicely.

I also am set on using glass for the cab, I looked into the Lexan MR but I dont think I will be happy with the results, I had a rep from a local glass company come up today and he took some initial measurements and will work up a quote for me, I will let you all know the costs.

As of today I have a little over $400.00 in materials and around 24 man hours invested.

Below are some pics of the build as of today

Looking good, please keep the pictures coming. I think you'll be happier with glass in the long run.

Thanks for the support MJNCAD, Yes I think the glass will make it a completed build in my book.

Thanks Kenny, since you have a factory cab, I may contact you with a few questions if you dont mind?

Looks like a nice start but does Kubota have a canopy top that you can buy without the rops framework? I know that Deere sells the top separately from the rops and is about 400 to 700 bucks. It would seem that this would be the easiest way to go but would require the proper dimensions be planned for from the start.

Steve,

I looked into the factory top as you mentioned, but it was near a grand, so I quickly scratched that idea, I have planned a custom fiberglass top that I can put my heater core in and all of my switches, and most importantly my radio :D

As far as the laurin cabs go I looked at them for a few ideas.

Thanks for your info!

Very nice work!

The glass will be much better... Post pics. when you get it installed.

Are they going to glue the glass ?... Or are you using gaskets ?

Thanks for sharing your work!
