I have a question for users of the Kubota tractor with GST gearbox.
I have never come across this kind of gearbox and have owned a Kubota L4200GST since November.
How should a tractor behave when, for example, I gather a bucket of soil - is it normal that in higher gears the tractor simply stops as if it would disengage the clutch? The engine does not choke, the wheels do not turn and the tractor simply stops. The same is true when, for example, I am plowing - if I do not downshift to 3 or lower, the tractor stops.
Is this all normal or maybe some problems with the gearbox?
