Kubota L45 & Kubota BX 2230 , 2014 RTV X 100C
Hi , everyone

This is my first post and wanted to see if anyone else on here owns a Kubota L45 TLB. I wanted to hear what you have to say about the tractor and your uses. Here are some pictures of mine that I bought last June. This is really an awesome tractor and work horse.

That is a nice looking tractor what kind of grapple is that? It looks like the Anbo.

Yes it is an Anbo 5ft grapple. I have done a lot of work with it this last year and it has been one of the best attachments that I have. I leave it on all the time and use the bucket when I need it.

Awesome tractor...sometimes I wish I had gone bigger than the BX24, but right now I am content. Maybe an upgrade after my loan turns right side up :p

I first saw that machine last year at the AG show. At last Kubota put an
HST into the L39. An excellent TLB, I am sure. Did you look at the
competition before buying? JD's 110, or the Yanmar CBL40 perhaps? What
made you go with the L45?

See you at the AG show. Just a couple of weeks away now. Nothing like spending some time at that hot-spot Tulare.

Back to the topic.

dfkrug , Hi

I have to be honest here, I did not look at the other two units. But I did do a lot of reading on all the tractors out there. And I already owned a BX2230 & B26. So I kind of bleed orange if you no what I mean. And I was still paying on the B26 and I knew no one but the Kubota dealer would give me what I wanted for it toward a new tractor. John Deere does not want used kubota tractors. But I am the proud owner of a BX 2230 & L45 now. Kubota does make an great tractor.

So that means you tried the Kioti, too?

Anyway, I understand your decision. It's always nice to get a chance
to compare/contrast similar machines, esp when you are about to spend
over $40K.

No I did not try the kioti either, I don't even have a dealer around me to try one. Nor do I know were one is at. The Kubota dealer is 8 miles from my house and a John Deere dealer is about 30 miles use to be two but one closed up. And as I said before I all ready had two Kubota's. And I have some neighbors that have had some for years like 20 or so and they said there rock solid and I have come to see that myself.

And what the heck its only Money. Can't take it with you and I have no kids so I have to spend it on something.

Congratulations on the L45. I looked at one but could not justify the cost for a new one. I looked for a used JD110 so I could get the hydrostatic, but could not find one that was not all beat to heck. I found a used 2007 L39 that was in great shape and I have been very happy with it.

I suspect the L45 has filters exposed like the L39 so I would be careful driving over brush. I made a guard for mine and posted some pictures in this thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/155494-l39-filter-guard-right-side.html

I like your grapple. I have a pallet forks that I have been using for brush and rocks like in the attached picture.

Thanks , That's a good looking L39 also. My filters on the L45 have guards on already and the one that doesn't is up real high that doesn't have a guard on.
