L5450
Hello, long time lurker first time poster. I have had a Kubota l5450 since it was new, and have recently found a used L5412 backhoe, hardly used, and am having trouble finding information on how the backhoe's hydraulics connect to the tractor, Kubota dealer has been no help. All I have to go on is the parts diagram from Kubota. I am fine with how everything hooks up with the exception of the new hydraulic line that goes from the loader valve to the rear coupler. With the loader attached there were 3 lines that go to the loader valve. With the backhoe there is a new fourth line that i can not find where it would hook to the loader valve box, unless a T splitter is supposed to be added to the line that goes into the back of the loader valve. What I am hoping for is that someone who has a 5412 backhoe could either explain and show me with pictures on how this is supposed to be done.
Thank you.

On those similar models often there would be a place in the back of the tractor to plug the backhoe into, then there would be a power beyond line that you had to switch away from the 3pt and to the backhoe. That switchpoint would be near the base of the FEL tower

In the pics I have the hydraulic parts diagram and some pictures of the three original lines on the tractor for the loader. There is a new fourth line that says it goes spot "A" in the loader valve along with the current "A2" line. What I don't get is that the new "A" line has a quick coupler on the end. I already have remote hydraulics on the tractor in the back so I know it does not hook the those outlets.

I have the same setup. There are several hydraulic lines so the easiest way to do this is by phone with you at the tractor and me at my computer looking at your pictures. Sent you a PM with my number.

Power for the BH comes from the "A" port on the loader valve. It's the power-beyond port located on the end closest to the operator - upper right in your last pic. Your PB line is presently connected to a pipe that powers the 3-point hitch, which isn't used with backhoe mounted. A new short line is needed from the power-beyond hose to backhoe power connector.

The exhaust flow from the BH needs to go back to the reservoir (transmission) and it doesn't really matter how it gets there. The factory plumbing is hard tubing teeing into the return from the loader valve, but to check it out it could be as simple as a hose stuck into the filler hole. Dick B
