KUBOTA L6060 COLD START

Never seen that behavior on my L4060 either. Unless of course I left the throttle up or bumped the it or something. I have a block heater on mine as well. Only use the block heater when it's below 20 or so.

You never want to hammer the throttle until it's got a chance to build oil pressure. I'm not a big believer in long warms, but give it a little bit of time to gets some heat if it's below 40 or so. No matter what, at least give it a chance to build proper oil pressure. Wish the Lxx60s has an oil pressure gauge on them.

Standby generators tend to go straight to operating RPM. But that's hard on them & they prioritize function over longevity. They are usually on block & coolant heater, possibly pre-lube systems too, at least on the bigger ones.
