Kubota L6060HSTC
When using a cat2 implement on my Kubota L6060HSTC, I have found the adjustable lift rod on the right side contacts with the power beyond line. This damaged my power beyond hose last year. I am looking for a way to resolve this so the power beyond hose is not in danger of being contacted by the three point components. Has anyone else had issues with this? I don't have an issue with my Cat1 cutter, but my Cat2 Woods BSM84 box blade is where the problem lies.

It seems there should be some way to move or modify the power beyond female coupler bracket so this doesn't happen. I haven't had time to get it back to the dealer and let them look at it, but I am wondering if others have seen the same issue. It seems like Kubota only tested the backhoe setup with Cat1 and forgot about Cat2.

Currently I have been tying the hoses as tight as possible to the side with wire ties to keep them away from the adjustment on the lift rod. This somewhat works, with about a tenth of an inch to share that I am afraid someday may not be there when I need it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Matt

Can you get a 45º fitting to put on the male end of the hose? It would move everything away from the lift rod, while not causing big issues when hooking the line to the backhoe line.

That's an interesting thought. However, I would have to see if it would impact the connection into the backhoe. The only thing I would worry is it hitting the top of the lift arm at that point, but I think it would clear. If I could pick one up locally that might be a quick temporary fix to get my grading work done without worry.

I took a look this morning and it appears that bracket is just a piece of angle with a female threaded coupler welded on and the hose and female coupler are screwed into it. Then it has another piece of angled round metal used for guiding the hose. I think my best bet would be for someone to make a new bracket for me, and just swap it out. The coupler needs to be closer to the angle side of the bracket, and the angled round metal needs to be taller to guide the hose above the coupler rather than beside it. That would resolve the issue and would likely be pretty inexpensive.

Put the adjustable lift link on the left side and the fixed length lift link on the right. It has no threads to damage the power beyond hose.

I solved the problem on my MX5800 by bending the bracket holding the power beyond hose. I'm not sure it can be done on the L6060 though. Your idea of modifying the bracket would work also.

That's what I originally thought would be best. Do you have any pics of how you bent yours? I assume you had to disconnect the hoses before bending?

On my MX4800, I solved that by moving the PB hose bracket to the outboard side of the Backhoe frame. It required using a stud instead of the bolt on one mounting hole due to ROPS clearance. Don't know if that would work for you.

Alternately, get a small steel bar and make an extension to move the bracket up.

The MX bracket is designed differently, It is a fairly flimsy "L" bracket which was easily bent with a pair of channel lock pliers. I didn't have to remove the hose. The L6060 bracket is better designed and would have to be taken apart to modify.

Did you try swapping the lift links? You will get a bit more clearance and the smooth fixed length link won't damage the hose.

Yeah the links can't be swapped. I tried it last year, and the left and right links are specifically made for the side they are on. Yeah the bracket on the L60 is pretty thick. It would not bend easy.

Studying his pictures a bit more, it does look like it is similar to the MX bracket in that it might just be able to be moved to the outside of the BH frame. Worth a shot. Unbolt the two bolts, lift the bracket over the frame and install bolt from outside of frame. On the MX, I was able to get one bolt in easily. I ran that way a couple of weeks until I could get to the parts store and find a metric stud for the other one.

I moved my adjustable link to the left side just fine when I put TnT on my L4060. Mine has a Cat1 hitch not Cat2 though. Not sure if it's just the eyes that are different or the rest of the hitch parts are bigger.
