Kubota LA211 loader hydraulic hose fittings

Good afternoon all.

Owner of a BX2200 and a LA211 front loader attachment. The hydraulic hoses on the loader are starting to fail. Have local places that can make hoses, but they never have the correct fittings in stock. I looked at Messicks, and while they have replacement hoses, they seem a bit pricy. I致e scoured the internet looking for just the fittings at places like Granger, Fastensl, etc.

Anyone have part numbers, or a good diagram with fitting descriptions, so I could order the fittings, and then just take to the local guys when a hose does fail?

Any competent hydraulic shop will have the fittings you need.

In fact, my local dealer doesn't even bother with Kubota "brand" fittings. They just order what most other hydraulic shops buy and make hoses, tubes, etc. UNLESS you ask; which they will look at you dumbfounded, and be like "ok, it'll cost you more".

With that being said, I've noticed the aftermarket fittings and hoses tend to last a bit longer. Odd isn't it?

Not to mention it is significantly cheaper than ordering them.

They will also guarantee they will work if you bring in the busted hose.

I concur on all fronts. Lots of places around that make hoses & carry the fittings. Half the Napa stores in the area do & the local CarQuest. Probably a good number of other auto parts stores if I bothered looking.

My Kubota dealer uses OEM hoses for warranty work. Everything else they custom make as needed. I actually doubt there are "Kubota fittings" just complete hose assemblies.

Anything you buy from a place that sells custom hoses will have a minimal warranty at least & guaranteed to be compatible with their hose & crimper. I doubt most places would warranty hoses made with parts they didnt sell, if they would even make them in the first place.

The 45 degree fittings are the problem. The truck/trailer shop in town was able to put one together, but they aren’t open weekends. Napa in town also makes hoses, but never have the 45 degree fittings. Local Rural king doesn’t have a big variety of the 1/4” fittings, despite selling 1/4” hose.

Would like to have the fittings as insurance, and take them to Napa (open 7 days a week) if/when the rest fail. This time it failed on a Saturday with snow coming and 1/4th mile private drive that would need plowed out.

If nothing else, I have a press, they sell the compression dies, I could even conceivably press my own.

You don't have to use Napa, Rural King or any of the tractor type shops. There is probably a "hose" place somewhere near you. They show up in places you wouldn't expect so Google for "hose assembly" in your local town and see what comes up. The ones that focus on hose assemblies should have everything you need.

We could help better if we knew about where you are. i.e. I'm in Texas, but know of a custom hose shop in Frederick Maryland - meaning that many of us are knowledgeable about other places than where we currently live and could get you started in the right direction.

I appreciate the feedback. Located in Martinsville, IN. Googled Hose assembly as you suggested, and came up with the usual Napa, etc.

The local truck/trailer repair is more than equipped to handle hose construction. This was more a bad alignment of snow storm, weekend, etc.

Just trying to be prepared when the remaining two hoses go. Replaced two out of the four that control the bucket.

I have always had a policy on rubber goods; when one fails it is signal that all like items are on the way. One down time and I replace them all. Sometimes gets me a price break also. Hydraulic shop I use seems to always have what I need. Places like NAPA do a good job but it is not one of their core business items so there stock goes up and down..

That’s not been my experience. On a machine that’s got severely sun damaged hoses it’s probably true but for an otherwise alright system that a hose fails it’s not.

If I were replacing all hoses and couplings today on my BX, I’d be looking at going flat-faced couplers.

Ok, I understand more now. The problem has more to do with trying to get it done on the weekend.
There is a hose place on your side of Indianopolis just about 24 miles up the road before you get to the 465 loop that should be able to do the 45* fittings and most anything else you need, but probably only 8-5 M-F
