I have the two position dump valve . Im trying to use it to rotate chute on snowblower. The only way I can move the chute to the right is to use the second position on dump. Is this doing damage? And if so can this valve be modified. This is a 4 position with power beyond mounted on a B-2910.Thanks

Welcome to TBN:D

I am not sure about the "two position " valve you have, but the Regen function of a valve can make a a single cylinder (not single acting) not function properly, especially when there is no weight to help get the cylinder moving like there would be on a bucket. It doesn't sound like any damage will be done as long as the system is not going into relief.

For a good read on regenerative valves, read THIS.
