My M4900SU was delivered in February of this year. With the creeper kit, ROPS, filled rears, tax and 2wd it cost me ~$18,000.
I didn't NEED the 4wd so I stayed with 2wd since I was replacing a vintage Ford 3000 and already have another loader machine for that purpose.
I admit, I was mistaken /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. Don't get me wrong, I love the
M4900 but being as light as it is traction is sometimes hard to come by. My 7-foot woods box blade will render forward movement to zero when filled and on loose soil. The rears never stop turning but I just can't go /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif So I've got to drag out the Bobcat for any heavy duty stuff.
Most of what I do is mow and garden with the
M4900 and in this regard, it is a perfect machine - for not having a cab, that is.
I looked hard at the 4800 but the small price difference for syncro gearing is well worth it!!! Drive them both and I think you'll agree.
Good luck on your purchase. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
p.s. Where do you live?
