Kubota m5700
I have a kubota m5700 that i purchased 1 year ago. when i first bought it the fromt loader was a bit jerky in cold weather, it has gotten gradually worse over time to the point where now it wont lift at all and the 3 point hitch will not lift and now the steering is gone. i have just the fluid and filters, no change. is there a pressure relief valve in the pump that would cause this? i first thought it was the fel valve but i think the steering comes from a seperate part of the pump. Thanks for any info.

Is the tractor under warranty?

I hope you have been following Kubota's instructions for warming up the hydraulics in cold weather which can require the machine to run up to 30 minutes at high idle to get the hydraulics to a proper temp.
This warm up is for the hydraulics and not the engine.

If you have not been doing this then perhaps some damage has been done.
On my M7040 which may or may not have a similar design, the hydraulic pump is split into two sections.
One section serves the power steering alone.
The second section sends fluid to the FEL valve and then using a power beyond port fluid goes to the rear remote(s) and 3 pt.
If the FEL valve has problems it could show up in the 3 pt as well.
I would suggest you first invest about $30 in a high pressure gauge to allow you to see what pressures can be achieved in your system.

Any independent hydraulic shop can provide the gauge and the necessary fittings to connect to your tractor.
At some point it may make sense for you to ask your local Kubota dealer to make a house call assuming of course that you have no warranty.

Since the M5700 went out of production in 2005, it's not likely to remain in warranty.

Sorry to say, but I think changing both filters and fluids on a just purchased 10+ year old tractor would have been prudent from the git go, and even more so when the hydraulics started going progressively wonky. That would at least have established or ruled out the effects of cheap hydraulic fluid, moisture, dirt, etc. as a factor in the problems. Still worth doing now, but it may be that problems are more significant at this point. +1 Dave's guidance re. operation and pressure testing.
