3-Point Hitch kubota m7040 lost hydraulic power..????

hey everyone.. our Kubota m7040 was getting along well, but then suddenly it has lost much of its hydraulic power.. especially the 3 pt hitch.. used to pick up our rotovator with ease, now won't budge the thing.. The 3 pt still goes up and down until it reaches about 500 lbs, then it won't pick up any more..

the front loader is also showing a lot of weakness... have checked the fluid and it appears normal.. slight hydraulic leak off rear hydraulic connector.. but very slight. We do have a young tractor mechanic guy who has stopped by and looked it over, and doesn't really know what is going on.. he is more used to working on John Deere's, so don't know if it might be a specific Kubota related issue..

any help out there??

First is always to be sure you have good oil and a fresh filter although we don't know how many hours you have on it.

it has 352 hours on it.. and the oil is quite fresh as we did burst a hydraulic hose over the winter which was replaced and at that time they had to replace a good amount of the oil.. but the hydraulics worked great after that repair..

is it out of warranty? service support @ dealer is good? their take? assume you did 50 hr service? how many hrs since "burst" till the problem? may want to post in "hydraulics" forum as well. good luck

Disconnect the FEL quick connects and hook them back up they sometimes push themselves partially apart restricting hydraulic flow. If you have a backhoe loop on the back disconnect and reconnect it too. Its worth a try.

Check the hydraulic lift limiting rod above the left hydraulic cylinder in the rear. It could have come loose, be bent, or be broken.

It is a long shot since the rear hydraulics on your machine is not lifting well.

Do you have the hydraulic speed control knob under your seat,between your knees ? If that gets bumped to slow/ off it can wreak your day !

So we went ahead and changed out the filters and did find a lot of gunk in one filter.. cleaned off the metal screen the filter slides over.. we had high hope that it would work.. but alas no.. it was able to pick up the rotovator now, but at a snails pace.. the funny thing is, the next morning, the tractor was able to lift the rotovator piece of cake.. and I thought the problem had somehow solved itself! But after running the tractor for 2 hours, suddenly it couldn't pick up the rotovator again...???? now I am really confused.. what would cause it to operate normally after just starting first thing in the morn, and then stop working again??

Did you get the tractor fixed. If so what was the problem ?

I'm no expert in hydraulics, but it does sound like a relief valve is not closing properly.
Once the oil thins out, it's seeping by it.
Maybe a pressure check of some sort could tell you this.
