Kubota M7040
Well I've made up my mind and will now be buying a new tractor instead of a used model. I've got my choices down to the M7040Kubota or the 2650Massey. They both felt fine when in the saddle although the Kubota cab seemed like it offered better visibility. I will be mainly using it as for snow removal so I opted for the hydraulic shuttle. Any advice would be appreciated
They are very close in price

They are both a very good product but I would go with the kubota. The kubota is just a step above in quality features etc.

just my opinion

I'm kinda leaning toward the Kubota but I've had my old 165 Massey since 25 years without any major issues. Can't beat that Perkins engine. The Kubota dealer is closer and I've checked around and their service is rated good. I'm going to pull the trigger on something this week.

Also both dealers are quoting a 9' Horst power angle plow. The Massey dealer is quoting a Meteor blower while the Kubota dealer is quoting a RadTech blower. Anyone familiar with any of these implements pleas chime in

Unlike many, we did not find MF to be particularly reliable though the Perkins engine is still running fine; lots of electrical problems as well as fuel system. Based on their reputation overall however I would have no hesitation buying a new one.

We really like our M Kubota, but I am sure both would be good buys.

Well I did it. Decided on the Kubota. Ordered with cab, fel, power angle plow, and snowblower. Should be here in 2 weeks. Bring on the snow! Kept my 165 Massey...at least for now

RadTech are the same folks that make snow blowers for a few different colors ie: orange, green, etc... so essentially the same as if you would have bought a Kubota snow blower. Good heavy units and they do an excellent job - quite a few snow removal contractors around here use either the Kubota or RadTech units. You will be able to get many years on it and the tractor - our 7040 is working out very well despite heavy use.

I think you made the right choice. That's not bad on the delivery time. A friend
of mine just ordered a JD 5105M and got a delivery date of Mar. 26, 2012. He
was like, I wanted to use it this Winter.

Talked to the dealer on Friday and the tractor/loader is there but no sign of the plow as yet. Still hope to take delivery by Dec 15. Still no snow here on the east coast so no big rush
