Kubota M7040 Price Advice

I'm trying to get a Kubota M7040 in CA from a dealer. Below is what I'd like to get. Anyone have a idea on a fair price so I don't get ripped off. Thanks for the help!

MSRP is a little over 60K. I've heard on this forum that a good (achievable) deal is roughly 85% of MSRP, so that would put it in the low 50's. I use the same 85% benchmark when buying dirtbikes, so maybe their pricing models are similar.

Thanks for the response, the MSRP did sound a little high on the website.

Also, I am curious about the backhoe and 4 in 1 bucket, it doesn't say on Kubota's website what brand they are? Does Kubota make them, and are they good quality and worth the money, or should a get them somewhere else?

If you would let us know what part of Calif your in, we might be better able to help you. If your in S Calif, gooood luck. If it were me, I would be shopping at Barlow's. Everything that I have read leads me to believe that they have THE BEST PRICES and will ship about anywhere. I know that what little I have heard, my local Kubota dealer is not the best guy to deal with. A lot of things to consider when shopping though, and price may not always be the most important factor, a lot depends on you.

I just looked at Barlows list....M7040's with relatively low hours for low to mid 30's.

This may be a case where shopping used saves $$$$.

I was thinking about this also, bradco has ones that dig 10' w/ MSRP of around 10k, but we'll see what the dealers offer me...

Have you considered a used full sized commercial unit, like a 580 Case and getting the Kubota? Probably about the same total money outlay and the Kubota back hoe won't even come close to the digging ability of the 580.

Don't have the space for another beast plus a Kubota.

What a shame. I had access to a orange Woods backhoe for an M-7040 with the plastic still on it. Run for about 2 hours. Could have sold it for 5 grand. All I wanted was the M-7040 tractor it came on.
