Kubota M7040 SUD or SUHD???

I'm looking into purchasing my first tractor. I built my house on a small farm a few years back and my father-in-law kept some cattle on it to keep the property up. Well, he's sick now so the entire property is my problem now. His tractors are becoming too costly now because of constant repair so I thought I may as well go ahead and buy a new tractor to last. I've decided on a M7040 because I don't want something too big and at the same time too small.

So my question is this...which version of the M7040 is recommended? Plus, is the 70 HP 63 PTO HP enough for a small hay operation?

I'll add a question. I've been looking at m7040's (regular ones), can anyone tell me the difference between the m7040, the 7040 sud, and the 7040suhd except the 8x8 (m7040) and the 8x4 (others) transmission? I do not want a cab, so throw that out.

FWIW, any 60+hp on the pto will work for most hay operations. 7040 will do fine.

yes the tractor will do fine on your farm.if your round baling hay you might want to step up to an 8540.

Also keep in mind that altitude effects HP,
you are right on the edge with a M7040.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't made my decisions yet but I'm leaning towards the M7040 SUHD. The 0% lasts until the end of this month so I'm going to be patient and keep my options open.

I purchased an M7040SUD about a year ago. The SUHD wasn't introduced yet. However, I'm happy with the tractor. I've got about 125 hours on it and no problems so far. I don't bale hay, so I'm not sure how it would work for that, but if you have any other questions on it, let me know.
