My M7060 is an open station with a 4 speed transmission with high/low range. (8 speed)

The problem is that a bolt came out of the linkage that connects the high/low range shifter to the linkage to the transmission. There are 2 bolts on that connection, 1 is gone and the other is loose. The way it is now I can't shift to high range.

The location of the linkage, with the missing bolt, is down under the transmission shifter. I can see it from above but can't get to it from the top. I also can't get to it from underneath.

What is the easiest way to get to that part without removing the whole console?

Thanks

i don’t know about your tractor, but on my MF1540, to access the linkages, i have to remove the metal platform that the seat is bolted to. Is very simple - just four bolts and the whole seat lifts off. Might be a similar set up on your Kubota.

your 7060 gear shift linkages may be different than my M8540. when i bought it new, same problem as yours, cannot shift into low range. i pulled the rubber gearshift boot and i believe also removed shifter cover, an easy access. one short linkage arm was loose, so i tightened connecting bolt & was an instant fix. 12 yrs later works perfectly
maybe you can display a pic of a top view of your setup. this should be an easy fix for you unless there are lost parts.
go to your dealer for a schematic & get the lost parts. the bolts on mine are small, requiring some dexterity good luck

Thanks for the replies.

Got it fixed. I had to remove part of the console and loader joystick. luckily the console was not 1 piece so I only had to remove part of it. That made the linkage easily accessible. Once that was done the missing bolt was easily replaced using Loctite on both bolts. Not a hard job at all. The hardest part was driving to the hardware to get the replacement bolt.
