NH TC30
We bought 70 acres last year and have been building a house since then.
Done with that and now need to move to a larger tractor for mowing and other work.
I have been looking at both the Kubota M7060HD12 and the NH T4.75 at my local dealer.
Close enough to the same price that it isn't a factor. Either will do what I need it to do.
That being said, the NH feels much bigger but I think thats an illusion. Both have the same tires and dimensions are very close.
Any opinions bad or good on either?

Thanks!
Charley

If I had to pick between the two I think I would pick kubota. I'm a big fan of the orange tractor. I test drove the 7060HD12 about a month ago and loved it but didn't like the dpf regen. Looked at t4.75 and a few other brands as well. I ended up going with a massey 4608 which is pretty much the same as the 7060HD12 hp/pto wise but massey had several extras for about the same price and doesn't have pdf which is a major factor to me as you can see in my other post. I've had my massey for about 2 weeks and put almost 10 hrs on it and love it so far.

Which is heavier? Better transmission selection? Higher hydraulic flow? Radial or bias tires? Radials are better and more expensive. More rear outlets? Which cab is quieter or laid out nicer? Will either dealer throw in loading the tires? Are you getting a loader? Does it have quick attach. I could go on!

Assuming that there will be times when you will be in the seat for more than an hour or so. Which one is most comfortable to you. Might as well be comfortable while your working.

One dealer sells both.
They are very close in weight. The NH is a few inches wider which I like since I have lots of hills I will be going around.
Hydraulic flow I am not sure about. Both are 12f/12r hydroshuttle tranny.
No idea on the tires but they are the same size for both. 2 rear on the NH and 1 on the Kubota. I need two but the Kubota is cheaper so adding a remote to it makes them close in price.
Neither have a cab. Don't want one and can't afford that anyway.
The NH seems to have more room in the seat and controls are better laid out. It feels much bigger than it is.
Price I got was with tires full. Kubota has a set of rear wheel weights also.
Both have the two lever attach loader bucket and easy loader detach.

Went today and measured the all around and though the NH feels bigger it isnt. Barely 3 inches wider but the cockpit has more room. My daughter got in it easily with me. The Kubota was a little tight and the gas pedal is oddly placed.
I went there specifically to look for a 7060 but the NH has my attention.

I am mainly curious if there are pros and cons to either company since the machines are a very close match.

Thanks guys. Keep the info coming.

My experience as far as which manufacturer is better to work with has a HUGE amount to do with the dealer and their relationship with the manufacturer. I have read so & so does not take care of their customers, never buy that brand and then you read basically the exact opposite, that this guys dealer went above and beyond and that the manufacturer stepped up and took care of the problem even when time lines or something else were questionable.

There are horror stories and very happy stories alike for all makes and models of tractors. So based on all the information available, it is my thinking that for the most part, the manufacturers are all pretty good. The problems arise from people being people. You have to make that judgment as far as your dealer goes.

Our local New Holland - Kubota dealer does everything that they can to sell you a Kubota, typically don't even stock any New Holland's. Even bad mouth the New Holland's. So what kind of service would a person get from a dealer like that? Me, I didn't want to find out.

Both tractors have similar capabilities, cost is close, so should not even be in the equation. Pick the one that you are most comfortable on, get any and all extras ( ALL HYDRAULIC OPTIONS AVAILABLE) now and go with it and be happy. :cool2:

They were both cushy and comfy ;-)
The NH had more room but the Kubota had everything close at hand.

The dealer is a friend of mines dad. I've had them work on my little TC30 and been happy with them.
They seem to be recommending the Kubota but not pushing. The Kubota seems to have a better record all around.
The Kubota has been on their lot for a year and they just got the NH in. I don't know if I should expect a better deal on it because of that or not. Should I?

I am leaning towards the Kubota though.

Even knowing the owner, I suggest that you get a quote from some other dealer. Always better to know rather than always wondering. :confused3:

Just my :2cents:
