Kubota M9000
I really, really need to hear any thoughts on this tonight as tommorrow morning I need to stop by the dealership and look it over and if there is anything I've forgotten or doesn't seem in order it would be the best time to bring it up because I'd really like to have it delivered tommorrow afternoon so I can study on it for 4 almost uninterupted days except for a little Turkey on Thursday. Thanks to all who've helped in deciding on the individual pieces. Happy Thanksgiving! Steve
Kubota M9000HD 4wd $27,200.
Solid Urethane Foam Fill All Tires $2,900.
2nd Remote Valve $700.
Kubota LA1251 Loader $5,350.
H&H Extra Heavy Duty Tooth Bar $632.
CE Attachments BTR Grapple Full Featured (hardened pins, cushioned cylinders, cylinder hose guards, all hoses and couplers) plumbed and installed $4,095.
Belltec TM48 hydraulic down pressure with 2" puff drill Auger Plumbed and Installed $4,000.
Rhino TW72 Heavy Duty Shredder $2,100.
Woods/Gannon XB84 Extreme Duty Box Blade $1,600.

The Grapple finally got here and it fits perfectly now, they are setting it up and plumbing it today and unless someone finds something terribly wrong with the pricing I plan on coughing up a 25% down payment and financing the rest for three years at 0% with Kubota credit and having it delivered to the ranch tommorrow.

By the way the dealer although they've been great on a lot of stuff seems like they are going to fail in the makeready dept. My salesguy says you can't expect an automobile finish on this equipment and although I've suggested it several times I don't believe he's touching anything up except maybe the tractor, all the implements have various paint rubs and chips which unless I'm mistaken he's planning on leaving not that the first time out in the field every single piece won't look like its been in a war but this stuff is brand new and I would just expect it to be completely covered with paint when it is delivered. What do ya'll think press the paint issue or is it silly knowing full well that even if they paint it at the dealership since it's big heavy equipment it'll probably get dinged on the way here anyway and its only about 8 miles but 2 of those miles are dirt and gravel road and very bumpy. Why the solid foam tires? Seems like this would be rough riding and also not being able to raise or lower air pressure would affect traction.

My new Kubota implements also had a handful of paint scratchs, missing paint, etc. Like you, I was at first disappointed, treating it like I would a new car or other vehicle. But I also figured that the bucket would get scraped up pretty quickly during normal use. I asked the mechanic about covering bare metal with oil to keep it from rusting, or touching up the paint, and he looked at me like I was nuts. He pointed to another loader bucket that was a few years old and rusted pretty heavily. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I actually have made a $3,000. deposit on this machine to cover the cost of the foam fill. This is Texas and I'm not sure if I can get this right but it goes something like this If it bites ya, sticks ya or stings ya Welcome your in Texas.
On a more serious note I have 350 acres it is as a result of all the rain quite swampy at the moment but it ranges from 1850' hills to 1300' valleys Cactus, Mesquite, Cedar stobs and very sharp rocks run rampant the cost to get a 4wd boom truck out here to change and or repair a tire is somewhere in the $300. range or more based on time, it wouldn't take to many flats back in the hills to pay for the $2,900 many times over much less the down time and problems of getting anything in here to help fix a tire thats darn near as tall as I am. The foam filled tires do flex some but as bumpy as my roads are currently the little bit of difference between air and foam I don't think I'd ever notice and since I've never owned or even worked on one much I'll hopefully get used to it and never miss the air ride tires, besides I've added a heck of a lot of weight to the tractor which for my purposes can't hurt. Most Tractor work is done at reasonably slow speeds from what I can tell and although I've seen people talk about mowing at 10 or so miles an hour I don't have much that I could mow so I don't think I'll miss the top speed which for a M9000 is something like 21MPH.

I thought that I must have read your post wrong, but now I don't think that I have. You are saying that you are paying $2,900 to have your tires foam filled? I don't know what kind of foam that they are using, but if they tried to charge me that much for putting anything in my tires, we would have a real problem. Why not just put Slime in and save about $2,850? Besides if I am not mistaken, you will have to buy new rims when the tires wear out. Although that may not be the case depending on the type of foam you get.

Jerry, over 9 years ago, I considered buying a current year ('95) B7100 rental unit from a local dealer, but decided the price was too high for one with 800 hours on the meter and 2 months left on the warranty. And he told me one reason it was priced that high was because all their rental units had foam filled tires, so he said that B7100 had $800 worth of foam in the tires. So when you consider the size difference in the tires on an M9000 vs. a B7100, maybe $2,900 isn't so surprising.

Jerry, Bird is correct the rear tires on this puppy are huge darn near 6' tall and while I had considered the slime it's only good for 1/4" or so holes max and a lot of the stuff that I will be running over until I get it cleaned up is far larger than 1/4" and like I said when you have a flat back in this country it's bad although your from arkansas along with most of my relatives on my dads side (they are from around Siloam Springs) and some of the country in Arkansas is just as trecherous as anything we've got around here. I forgot to mention when I finally wear these tires out you take them to the tire folks and they cut them off with a saw the rims are recovered like they were brand new.

toy1 No Cab is included and unless I'm mistaken the only option that it doesn't have is the 12 by 12 creaper tranny although it does have the hydaulic shuttle. There really aren't to many other options that I could have included.
