Kubota manufacturing locations

My friend has a 18 horsepower Kubota tractor she bought about 6 months ago. Her front axle casting broke while mowing. She says her tractor was made in the U.S. I heard some are made in the U.K. Where are all the Kubota plants?

Brandi I think the short answer is Japan. Outside of Gainesville, Ga. is Kubota’s N. American plant. They do build their backhoes, some loaders and some attachments there from parts they sub out to varies metal manufacturing companies. I happen to have a friend that builds parts for Kubota. The larger tractors are also assembled at the plant. The smaller tractors, L series down, are shipped crated from Japan and assembled at the dealership.

I think any brand can have its failures, regardless of where its made. There was a post a year or so ago where a new L4400 blew out the rear end. The housing cracked and a chunk of it fell off.

My understanding is the BX tractors, Zero turn mowers and the RTVs are built in Gainesville, GA
Last I heard, Kubota has 1,200 employees there.

There are three Kubota factories in GA. They build 40% of all Kubota products that are sold in the USA. When I say build, I mean build... not just put tires on. Engines and trannys are brought in, but everything else is done here. Its a big operation. They also export from GA to the UK. As far as I am aware there is no production in the UK. Beyond Gainsville GA most tractor production is done at one of two factories in Japan. Engines and metal casting are done by other fully owned divisions of Kubota that are also involved in other industries.
