I have 10 acres of hilly terrain to maintain. I have 6 acres of weeds and briars, 1 acre of finish mowing, and a 1000' road to keep snow off and keep it maintained with gravel. I would like a front loader for general work around property.

First question is whether a B series will handle the job. Or, whether I should jump in to an L series. Please help me with my safety concern of tipping over on side and down hills. This is my first real tractor.

I am considering an L3010 GST and a B8200 4 x 4.
Thank you.

You should post this in purchasing, not safety.

That said, how steep are your slopes? most tractors are only good for 15 degrees (which will pucker you up tight on a regular tractor). There are a couple of wide stance tractors, or I would suggest either a Power-Trac or a Antonio Carraro if you have the bucks...

If you can get a truck up it,you should have no problems getting about any 4wd regular type tractor up it,even if you gotta use 4wd in the truck.
Go up and down not sideways, bellymower, not much experience with one but unless you got it hung up[high centered] it should even be better?,mowers down low in center of tractor.

Always put it in 4wd when on a steep hill,or wet grassed hill.

If it don't feel right, don't do it,[might take you awhile but somethings start feel better the more you use it,experience].
