I have a Kubota finishing mower, not sure what model it is. But it fits on the back of my B6100E, I want to sell it and I need to find asking price for it. It's in good condition.

Big D,
The Kubota finish mower might be B-3548 model if its a 48 inch cut.

How old is the finish mower?

Your finish mower might fit the B7100 models also.

I bought my finish mower second and payed $ 250.oo.....got lucky.

I believe it would be fair to ask $450.00 + or -.

I'm not sure if Bird had finish mower on his B7100 when he sold his tractor, maybe he could shed a little light.

Take care and good luck.

Nope, I didn't have a finish mower with the B7100; just a 4' Bush Hog rotary cutter; mowed the yard with a 38" Cub Cadet riding mower.

To say "it fits on the back of my B6100E" indicates that it is a 3pt hitch type finish mower. I know that Kubota recently came out with a new line of 3pt finish mowers; I don't know anything about their history in that area.

Big D, for anyone to help you, you'll have to be more specific. Is it in fact a 3pt hitch or mid-mower (a mid-mower is very limited as to the tractors that it would work with)? What is the cutting width (48", 60" or other)? What company built the mower? Is it the newer style finish mower with 4 wheels to adjust the cutting height or the older style where the 3pt hitch position detemines the cutting height?

From my shopping perspective, brand new 3pt finish mowers run from $800-$1600 (sometimes more) depending on a lot of different factors (mostly name brand).

The mower is a model K-348-7. It has rear wheels and uses chains on the front to adjust the cutting height. It looks like a 48 inche cut, but I never really measured it. It hooks up the the 3 point hitch, but uses the chains for adjustments.

As I have been shopping/looking around at the various finish mowers (mid and 3 pt) it has been my observation that the older style 3 pt finish mowers are not nearly as popular as the newer style whose mowing height is determined by 4 wheels. I would guess that you would have a hard time getting over $400 for it (but I admit that that opinion is not the most educated opinion).

"Gee Whiz" Information: When I bought my B7100 I got all sorts of old manuals and brochures, but none that actually applied to the B7100 that I bought or the mid-mower that came with it. However, one of the manuals that I got was an owner's manual for your type of mower (it covers the K-348-7 and K-348-6). They are both 48" mowers. From the pictures it looks like it is a rear discharge, even though is says to mow in a counter-clockwise direction keeping the uncut grass to the left. It says to operate the PTO in second gear, 820-840 RPM (that's suprising to me...).

The "-6" model is "For B-6000 Series only", apparently to handle the B6000's reverse direction PTO.
