John Deere! I have read Wayne Broehl's book John Deere's Company twice (all 800+ pages).I had an opportunity last year to visit the historical site in Grand Detour where his original blacksmith shop was and house still is. Even brought home some red potatoes from his garden. It would be interesting to see his reaction when he realized the historical significance of the company he founded.
