Has anyone used a stump bucket on there loader. Wondering if it really digs stumps out.
I had one for a short while, didn't like it at all.One of those ideas that sounds better than it works. First you can't see what you are doing and it takes a lot of power to make it work.My tractor is not small at 7000lbs.an L4240 HSTC. Impossible to do a ditch with,if you get the bucket full you have to back the length of the ditch to drop it. I sold mine at half price to a guy with a skid steer.
I am lucky to live where I can burn mine and I have gotten rid quite a few stumps.I agree, a BH is the way to go......expensive but very practical for most stump work. I have dug quite a few and because our transfer station wont take them I cut back any long roots , dig a deep hole, and bury the sucker!
