Kubota Paint Source??

My B2910HSD is starting to show some signs of serious work. Its been a workhorse and while I haven't abused it, I haven't babied it either. With winter coming on, I've been thinking of doing some serious cleanup, and touching up some of the scratches. Does anyone know of a good source of the Orange paint at a reasonable price? The local dealer seems to think this stuff is liquid gold. Thanks, in advance.

I've found that Allis Chalmers Orange is real close on my BX.

TSC sells cans of Kubota orange spray paint. I bought a can of it a couple of months ago but haven't used it yet. Can't confirm whether it is an exact match. However, it does say Kubota orange on the label.

There is Kubota Orange, not to be confused with Kubota Orange II, that is a different orange...

I noted this information for a friend about 5 minutes before reading your post.
Indeed, there is Kubota Orange and Orange II. My 2001 B21 is a "new Kubota Orange" or "Bright Orange II product #70000-73713. A 12.5 oz spray can cost $6.55 in PA 2 years ago. I've been saving it for no good reason and can't say if it's a perfect match.
An indistinguishable [by 4 people] match for this color is Rustoleum Orange #7458 Farm Equipment spray that is sold as "Matches Allis Chalmers Orange".
Last year I enclosed the ROPs of the B21 with a plexiglass cab. It's attached by drilling holes in the glass and using zipties. The sides were reinforced with aluminum tape and painted prior to drilling. The orange is indistinguishable where it is tied to the orange body. This paint sold for $4.59.
I don't know the date when the factory Kubota color became Bright Orange II.

SIR,
i agree, the dealer paint if a ripoff. i paid $7.00 plus
for a can of kubota orange paint. walmart says they
can match any paint if you bring a part with the color.
i have not had the time to do this. they have some kind
of machine that can look at the color, and tell them how
to match it. this might be worth a try, and if i do this, i
will post the results.

What type of paint brush are you going to use with the Walmart paint???? Bristle or foam???? If you don't want to use the Kubota paint, why not try some of the other spray can paints that are mentioned???? House paint isn't the answer IMHO.........

I used the quart cans of enamel paint from the Kubota dealer. A perfect match and seems good quality also. Just mix with a little mineral spirits. Sprayed it on with my car spray equipment.

Thanks for the tips on paint. I didn't think of TSC, and we have Orschlan stores in this area..both may be worth a try. Its kind of a principal thing with me..I can't see paying $7 for a $3 can of paint just because it has the Kubota name on it. Sorry I didn't get back to check this message before now..my son's-in-law and I were too busy deer hunting over the weekend. Between the three of us we took 6 does and 1 nice buck...Missouri wants to thin out its doe herd, and I have 3 tags left for later in the week...gonna really fill the freezer this year! Thanks again for the tips.
