Price Check Kubota Price Increase

Spoke to dealer today. Sounds like they had a price increase this month fro Kubota. New shipments will be up in cost. Dealer is now going to stock the Cub Cadet/ Yanmar line. I wonder how these units stack up to the Bota.

They are cheaper and in my opinion not as good or nicely styled as the 'bota stuff. I bought my tractor right after a price increase and the dealer said more increases were likely due to the cost of steel. I don't think this justifies dumping the Kubota line at a dealership as other tractors will shoot up in price too.

Don't make any sence, during my few months of deciding they were 2 or 3 increases and I finally just bit the bullet before another increase happened,the way the econony is and the price of scrap metal being at dirt level, you would think things would be holding or reducing some, but I figure where they built on forcast for the next year in advance and bought the metal at a higher price to build the units, guess it's lucky us that gets to foot the bill, ( maybe a tractor stimulus check is needed, a big enough stimulus and I would agree to mow the white house lawn once, only need about 30 or 40 other people to join in and take a weeks mowing to finish the year out, kinda like a Vacation with your tractor Dear.MR President, If you would write up a Bill for a tractor stimulus check, requiring me to mow the white house lawn once, It would be appriciated, It' would help me with aquiring a new tractor, helping the economy and doing my civic/patriotic duty of serving my county while mowing the lawn, (PLEASE DON'T ASK TO GET TO DRIVE MY NEW TRACTOR WHILE i'M AT THE WHITE HOUSE, AS THIS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED, WE HAVE TO HAVE SOME SENCE OF RATIONALIZATION HERE. , ( + i WOULD EVEN VOTE FOR YOU NEXT TIME TOO)

No doubt. The Kubota Restaurant is printing up new menus, and more than the artwork and design is changing!

I said this in my other post about prices increasing, Get you kubota locked in now before march 1st to guarentee the current price.

I'm no economist but it does not seem to be the right time for anyone in manufacturing to have a price increase. Even considering that in my opinion, Kubota makes an excellent product, most companies seem to be holding the line on increases. In my business (aerospace supplier) trying to sell a price increase now could give the buyer that extra nudge to consider other options, even if he is otherwise satisfied with your product.

The increase is because the dollar is weak, and the yen is strong.

I think I'll wait until the local dealer is sitting there in a cash crunch due to the economy then I'll go pick up one thousands cheaper.
