Kubota QA ????

   / Kubota QA ???? #11
I bought my first Kubota 5 years ago to be my lifetime mower and maybe some uses for FEL and 3 ph stuff. Bought or traded to my 7th one last week. Originally I never planned on selling or trading but I have. If you decide to sell or trade a Kubota tractor with a different brand loader you'll have some trouble selling it and will get considerably less for it. You may think it won't make a difference but it will. I might would buy a Kubota with a different brand backhoe but would pay considerably less. Would never buy a Kubota tractor with a non Kubota FEL unless I figured it as no value for the loader.

Thanks for that advice. That was the primary reason I had thus far deferred to the Kubota loader and I will stick with that decision.

I had a tractor with a Woods loader on it about 6 years ago and I will not buy another one. The paint was flaking off in large pieces and rust was coming thru everywhere after just a few months. The bad part about that is that it was brand new and I always stored it inside.:(
The other issue I had with it is the joystick control linkage was made of "pot metal". It broke twice on me in the middle of doing projects for other people. Very, very frustraiting. I'm sure they have corrected the joystick issues by now but it still grates on me.
The paint issue seems to continue with Woods equipment. I bought a new rear blade this December and rust is coming through in several places. It's time they discovered powder coat or at least primer.
Bottom line: stick with the Kubota loader. :)

As far as the added weight of the QA. I would guess it to be much lighter than 200 lbs. I have the Kubota 1301 loader and I had my QA off last weekend for repairs. I could carry it and set it on the work bench by myself. This really isn't scientific but I would guess it is between 100 and 150 lbs.

get the QA now.

I didn't on my first tractor L3130, ended up buying the QA later when I got my pallet forks. However, I don't have a QA bucket for this tractor, so I unpin the bucket, put on the QA when I want to use the forks. have to pin the bucket back on to use it. It's not a hard job, doesn't take too long, but is a PITA. When I bought the QA the dealer wouldn't trade my bucket for a QA bucket, even though my bucket was almost like new. I guess I could get someone to weld a QA bracket to my bucket..

I learned when I bought my 2nd to get the QA up front.
