I just got a 48" Befco a couple of weeks ago. It is rear discharge, mounted on a BX. Have used it 3 times and all seems to work well. However, all I have to compare it to is a 38" JD under a 170 lawn tractor ( which, by the way, still works well ).
There was a part of the instruction manual that stated it could be front mounted. Has anyone mounted a mower this way. Kind of like a cross between a tractor and a ZTR I guess. Is there some gizmo that acts like a PTO out the front? Anyway, it sounded neat if you have to mow in tight places.
