Waaaay off topic here - just a comment about mark-up.

My cousin used to be a commercial tuna fisherman in Hawaii. He told me that one yellowfin tuna (ahi) generates about 10K US in economic activity by the time it is consumed.

I would doubt that NH makes a hydrostatic filter for the Kubota, it's pretty unique. One hydraulic filter on our NH 2120 cost exactly the same as one of the two for my L48 and they are quite a bit bigger. The engine oil filter was about $6.50 from Kubota and $8.00 from NAPA. My experience shows prices among tractors to be pretty competitive when it comes to consumables and as mentioned, other then a battery, I just don't replace things like radiators, starters etc. and I surely don't go to my dealer and start asking what the prices for such items will be, I've got enough to worry about. Actually I have heard the current version of the hydro filter
is a redesign/reissue of the original. Apparently the original
lacked sufficient flow capacity and was blowing-through/bypassing
under certain conditions. I think I'll defer to the manufacturer's
hard-won experience here.
