Kubota L3010
Hey Guys,

I have a Kubota L3010 that I am adding lights to and have a question. The lights are U-bolted to the ROPS and the wire is secured to the upright, no problem. My question is about the auxillary wire that Kubota has under the left rear fender as this is where I plan to gain power for my lights. I see the female plug on a yellow wire and presume this is what I need to attach my lead to. Is this wire hot when the engine is on? Or, is it hot just when the headlights are on? I have checked it both ways and have not shown any juice. Does anyone know which fus it runs to on the fuse block? I will try to upload some pix when I get back to the tractor tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I figured out the wiring on my Kubota today. The yellow wire was hot and when connected through the swithces the front and rear LED lights worked great. All in all a great step ahead.
West Marine has a great marine grade toggle switch and the stainless U bolt to fit around the ROPS bar.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but yes yellow is switched hot and brown is neutral. The yellow runs to the "work light" slot in the fuse box. Normally has a 10A fuse.

Watch out for those West Marine switches -- they overprice them by about 4X. I was shocked when I found out, but promptly returned two of their $19 switches and bought the same I found under "Sea Choice" brand for $5 each at another store. I do like buying marine-grade tinned wire at West Marine though -- they have a much better price per foot than most other places and you can cut as much as you want.

light.jpgThanks S219. I was surprised the wire worked right the first time I tried it as my tractor is well over 10 years old. You're right about the price of the swithches being $$$. I did like the quality and hope they hold up for a long time. Here are a couple of pics of the lighting setup.
