I guess I'll have to if I'm going to convince Gen. Lee! I'm no expert on this stuff, so maybe I'm easy to please, but it's been great so far.
I'm not convinced. I've read negativity about the 400, but the way the OP makes it seem, its leaps and bounds over the 500. The only area I see the CVT excelling over the hydro model (500) is a little more torque. Either the hills he is traveling aren't what he described, or the 400 is simply a beast OR my 500 is pure junk. I know this response is going to seem rude but it is not intended to be. Maybe my 500 is just a slug
Have you done all the servo and WOT adjustments to your 500? It makes a big difference, it's still not the most powerful machine but it will climb hills and accelerate a lot better after them.
Not yet. Contemplated it many times, just not comfortable doing it, especially without a tach light.
I know...I know...It doesn't count if I don't have pictures...But today I went up as steep a hill (and long) as I'd ever want to go up in any vehicle, and the 400 went up it like a billy goat. I don't know what's up with the 500, but the 400 is awesome. This is one I didn't even tackle with the Honda Rancher before I got the Kubota.
