Let me say "Great Job!" for taking the time to document and photograph both those projects. Very informative and easy to follow. After installing my speedometer, I'm sure you did not receive even barely adequate instructions from Kubota.

Thanks again for sharing with us.

Lorn.

No problem chief5. Glad I could share with ya. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Kubota does include an install sheet, but I figure some folks would be interested in seeing an actual install.

Just put my Kubota lift in today. Works great. I lifted up and threw four of my neighbors out of the back. They all weigh 250+ and they didn't beleive it would. The machine didn't even strain.
Thanks again to Neil at Messick Farm Equipment and DelfinoTx for the instructions.

Delfino,

I had left over a washer and a specialty snap pin that I couldn't figure out where they went. It had an L-shaped bend in it so it was for a particular pin. It was too big for any of the pins that were in the lever package and that's the package it was in. Did you have any of these spare parts? Just curious.

I do have a question in regards to a Kubota hydraulic lift that I just installed this weekend. The installation went well and the bed raises fine. When I lower from a full up position the cylinder seems as though it is straining, possibly not getting enough fluid or is binding. The lowering is very slow and sometimes sticks at the top. The bed rises and lowers fine manually, but when hooked up to the lift cylinder it seems to bind occasionally going down. Although, sometimes the bed lowers perfectly without a problem. Has anyone heard of this type of problem or is there an adjustment? Or is this a common problem that will get better as time goes on?

Thanks again for all your help.

Fred, I don't remember having any extra parts. Can you send a picture of them?

I would check the pivot points for enough grease. Also, you might want to cycle the cylinder without the bed connected and see if you can get it to do the same. Who knows, you might have debris in the hydraulic lines...

I checked it a couple of times yesterday and it worked fine. It seems to bind or lowers at an extremely slow pace when it is in a full raised position. I wonder if air in the lines could have caused these sporatic problems?

I'll see if I can post a pic of the funny looking snap pin I had left over. The other part was just a washer. Maybe it was just extra.
