Kubota rtv Curtis plow blowing lift fuse

I purchased a used kubota rtv1100 with the kubota snowplow which was made by Curtis. The plow uses an electric actuator for the lift. The previous owner included a whole pack of 15amp fuses with the dire warning that it blows them regularly which turns out to be true. I am left wondering if someone didn't replace the fuse at some point with a lower than stock rating. What amp fuse are others using with this plow setup? I have searched the net and found reference to the fuse blowing but only 1 case was the amperage mentioned. In that case someone was using a 25amp fuse.

The fuse will blow if the plow is lifted against the up stop but has also blown when lowering or just starting to lift the plow.

Sorry I can't give you definitive guidance.

Do you have an owners manual for the plow?

If not, maybe Google Curtis and see if their website offers electronic manuals. The manual will tell you what fuse rating should be used. 15A sounds too low.

Is there a part number or label on the electric actuator ?
Sometimes they state on the label how many amps the actuator draws.
As long as your wire size going to the actuator is correct, the fuse should be roughly at minimum 1.2 times more than the amp figure stated on the actuator.
Of course, if your actuator is dragging for some reason, then it could draw more than it should, blowing the fuse.

The only thing on the actuator is the name THOMPSON. I have googled the best I can and can't find any info from either Curtis or Kubota. Sadly no manual came with the plow, I did get the rtv manual but no Infor there as expected.

I don't know what model plow you have. So this might not apply.

I googled and came up with this. It shows using a 15A fuse. Sorry if this doesn't apply.
