My 2009 kubota rtv900 did not come with hydraulic dump. It does have the cylinder mounts. I need to know the cylinder specs so I can find a cylinder at surplus center and do a self install. I also need to know where the high pressure and return ports are on the hydro drive that are used for the dump.

Some parts such as the cylinder and/or control valve can probably be purchased aftermarket cheaper than the Kubota stuff. But the pump is probably going to have to come from them. Might check into the kit price? I'm guessing high priced.

Ruffdog's link is worth the read before you decide what to do.

Seems to me to be much more prudent (and less costly) to install a linear actuator with the correct stroke length (need to measure the open and shut height). I bet the pump alone is over 500 bucks. You can get a 12 volt linear actuator from Surplus Center or Shoup new for around 300 bucks, exactly what I did on my wife's Kubota Sidekick. Kubota wanted 800 for their kit. My actuator cost 300 from Shoup.

Good alternative. Check for capacity.

According to a Google calculator the Kubota cylinder has 7,850 lbs of push. Push lifts the bed.

It will dump this.

Double ouch. The bed on my wife's (notice I don't say mine, she bought it) Sidekick has an over center hinge so it dumps pretty easy and the linear actuator has no issue with it but I've never heaped it up like you Richard. My wife would kill me if I did that. In reality it's out 'go uptown' ride and ride around the neighborhood spying vehicle.

Everyone out this way has one or a golf cart. Lots of Kubota diesels which I pass handily all the time...

Yes, I too never had a problem dumping a purposely over-loaded bed with the factory system. It made me smile every time!

I can source all the parts I need to make this system from surplus center for about $600. That is what I will do.

What about the pump? Did Surplus Center carry that as well?? Figured it was a "Kubota" part.

Two hydraulic systems have been shown. The oem mechanical driven pump and a aftermarket electric driven pump/tank (like a small version that lifts a dump trailer).
