Kubota RTV X1100c battery going dead

My good friend bought a brand new 2018 Kubota RTV X1100c model.If he lets it set more tan 7 days without starting it the battery goes dead.Anyone else have this issue?Dealer states might be the clock in the radio making the battery drain.Any thoughts?Thanks..

I wouldn't think a clock would draw enough power to drain a batt in a weeks time. Use an amp meter and measure how much draw it has when shut off. My guess would be a bad battery. My gator alternator would not keep a charge on the little riding mower battery. I used a battery tender for many yrs but when the battery finally needed replacement I put a small car battery in it. Haven't had to plug in the tender yet, probably will have to during winter months.

Use an AMP meter in line and start pulling fuses to narrow it down some.

Dealer is an idiot. It’s a warranty problem if the radio is a Kubota unit; lean on the dealer or find another one.

It's not the radio and/or clock.

Somewhere there is a parasitic load that is draining the battery.

Any dealer or owner installed options?

I too have an RTV X1100C. Mine too has a radio with clock. I leave it unstarted for months without issue.

Don't leave the key on and don't leave the climate control systems on, e.g., AC and/or fan.

Does it have some kind of alarm system like cars? They drain a lot of energy from a battery. It does sound like a warranty issue and the dealer should fix it for you. It may just be a bad battery and checking for parasitic drain is the first item to check. If it has little to none (a diesel engine should really show no parasitic draw) then a load test of the battery might show the problem.

No alarm system.He is going back to the Kubota dealer shortly to get this resolved.
