Kubota shop vac for sale at Costco

Sixdogs, 2 years later and you are back with the second edition. Jokingly, it seems as if you are out there looking for these because you are the one bringing them to our attention. I am sure you just happened to pass it while shopping, which is even funnier the second time.

Does it have a 2in hose? If so that's not a bad price at all, hope they have them at my local store.

I've had one for over 2 years now. The thing that "sucks" about them is they have an odd sized hose. So the hose and attachments will no interchange with all the Shop-Vac and Canadian Tire brand stuff I have.
It works well enough, but sadly it is a cheap Chinese made unit. Not Kubota quality.

Going to Costco is an effort so there's an implied obligation to go down the "tool" isle. I dunno; those Chinese vacs just pop up and call my name. I don't get it either. Wait a minute; they were sitting on a pallet.

I wonder how much Chengshang Quangzhou Manufacturing Ltd. had to pay Kubota for the rights to use their name/logo?

Sixdogs, haven't you bought one of these yet?

I wonder about the extra height, relative to the wheel base. My two main shop vacs are shorter and much wider, yet I still tip one over from time to time when I pull on the hose. But then, one of them is 40 yrs old, and the other 25, so the casters don't roll like they used to. :) But neither do I.

If this is the same unit Costco offered last year, I saw that another poster who has one says is won't accept standard fittings and hoses. And that shiny chrome's sure gonna show fingerprints! :D

The one last year was half this size and I read they were just branded Kubota and not really a Kubota product but that's just what I read.

For a shop vac I use a Craftsman since they have always worked for me and can pick up a dust bunny halfway across the barn. I've tried other brands but Sears works best for me. The wife has a small portable Makita 18V for around the house that she thinks is wonderful.
