If your Bota is a manual gear tractor, you can use UDT.
If your Bota is a HST or GST then Kubota specifically specifies the use of their multigrade SUDT.
I'm using Amsoil's Synthetic 5W-30 multigrade in our L-3130 GST and L-39 GST now since SUDT was more expensive. Both products are outstanding, especially compared to the single weight UDT type hydraulic fluids. Other similiar comparable products to Kubota's SUDT and Amsoil's 5W-30 Synthetic Hydraulic Fluids are Chevron's Synthetic Multigrade Hydraulic fluid and Petro Canada's Synthetic Multigrade hydraulic fluid.
Both my Kubota OEM Manuals state specifically, " Fill with the new KUBOTA SUPER UDT fluid up to the upper notch on the dipstick every 400 hours."
Both my Kubota OEM Manuals also further state specifically, "To insure proper operation of the hydraulic system and complete lubrication of the transmission, it is important that a multi-grade hydraulic fluid be used in this system. We recommend the use of KUBOTA SUPER UDT fluid for optimum protection and performance."

If you find it at Wal-Mart, then indeed it would truly be a rip-off!
