Kubota T1400H Engine Made By.......?

I just picked up a great little Kubota T1400H for $80 to go along with my B7100. I'm trying to find specs on the lawnmower engine but I can't figure out who makes it for Kubota. It's a model GV400V-L (13hp) but that's all I know. I've seen comments about Kawasaki but I'm coming to a dead end after that. Any help from fellow owners? Thanks all.

I think Kubota did make their own gas engines, I've heard about 4 cyl Kubota engines. Whether your particular engine was made by Kubota or not, I have no idea.

try www.mytractorforum.com, there are alot of people there who know the world of small gas engines.

The GH series are genuine Kubota built overhead valve engines.

The last I remember seeing a small Kubota engine like the one in the picture was on a generator used for a road construction lighting sign back in the mid 1980's, in the days before those signs were solar powered. I don't know the series, but they were industrial grade gas engines made to run 24/7.
