Kubota TG1860 Transmission problem

I mow an acre at a 35 plus degree slop. The trans went out at about 100 hrs. of operation. I was told that I should use a heavier trans oil to prolong the life. Is this a solution to early failure? What should I use?

What's the maximum slope your machine is designed to operate on? If you're exceeding that spec, it's unlikely switching oils will help. If components were subjected to oil starvation damage due to operation on an incline, then simply starving those components from heavier oil isn't going to fix anything....
