Kubota UDT or SUDT vs Mystik JT5

I just did the 300 hour on the BX and didn't have the time to run out to the local Kubota dealer so I hit tractor supply for some Mystik JT5. Seemed like good stuff but I'm not thrilled with the results. I have more hydro whine that before and the hyrdo is just not as smooth. Has anyone else used Mystik JT5.

Wondering if I should just drain the Mystik and go back to SUDT. Wonder if I can do a complete drain of the FEL and BH at the the same time.

Seems to be a common experience when trying other TFs in Kubota hydrostatic drive machines that call for SUDT, many have posted similar disappointment here on TBN.

Me? I'd get the SUDT back in there...in my my view whine that wasn't there before means it isn't right....

Crazy thing with this SUDT when we have put it in other makes they quiet down and drive smoother as well! My second favorite has been Case hytran. Still not as good but probably equivelent for us in the north as UDT

And what is that? Looking at the VOA of it and it nothing really special. For a dino oil and Kubota's high price I would/will use Amsoil fluid.At least for Amsoil's price I am getting a synthetic oil. Key is I know what I am getting. Ask Kubota they tell you very very little. It is a super secret formulation. :laughing:

UDT/SUDT is nothing special. Kicker is this has come up time and time again since 2002...

Well I can tell you that since I changed it I have a new leak by the FEL controls that I never had before. Could it be related? WHo knows, but I planto change it back to SUDT.

If it is nothing special then why do so MANY state it makes a big difference when using the SUDT instead of a substitute?:thumbsup:

Mid to late November your local kubota dealers should begin carrying SUDT2. It is fully synthetic and will be cheaper. I believe they will also be phasing out the old SUDT.

If this report is factual and reliable, it is rather exciting news, at least to me.

To the OP, as for using non SUDT and having poor results in a BX, add me to a rather long list, I'm afraid.

You can say "it's nothing special" a thousand times, but it won't change real life experience. I got foaming and YES!!!! increased whine, horribly, when I tried something else, something that was supposed to be "premium" and an equivalent product.

And I can say based on a lot of reading by what I percieve as knowledgable and respectable people (meaning you and others), I will never know how non-SUDT works in my machine!

Even at 16 gallons, I just bite the bullet when it comes time for fluid changes.
