I'd probably pass. Not your area, but tractorhouse shows a B5200 with way less hours for way less money...

It would need to be a very clean, garage kept, well maintained 4x4 B5200D with the front PTO and loader to be worth $5k at 660 hours. At nearly 20 years old or more, if it has been stored outdoors and not been well kept, it may have a lot of rubber dry rot.

A lot of the value would be in the options. See below for some of the configuration options.

You can probably find a manufacturing plate on the frame someplace that'd tell you the year. It could be anywhere between 32 and 19 years old according to tractordata. I'd think it'd be one of the 90s models personally. Hours matter more than years, unless those years are lived outdoors.

I still don't think I'd go $5k on it.

It's from the early 1980's. If you check some of the online tractor classifieds, you'll see what sellers are asking for B5200's. Just guessing, but if everything is in good condition, consistent with only 660 bours of use, that's probably not a bad price. But if it has had a hard life, it may have issues and need some TLC, and a buyer should bargain accordingly. With used equipment, especially old ones, it's all in the state of the individual machine.

Tractor itself looks decent, although it's hard to tell much from a photo. Give it a good tire-kicking and make sure everything is in good shape mechanically. The mower and blower sure look kind of rough, just going by the photos. They weren't cheap to buy... you'd think the owner could at least clean them up if he wants to sell them. I'd want to see both attachments operate, look for worn spindles, shafts, gearbox, etc. If that degree of attention carried over to the tractor itself... But assuming the tractor is OK, $4k wouldn't be a bad price for the tractor, and those attachments, if in good condition, would make $5k an OK price.

How does one only put 660 hours on a tractor over 30 years? 22 hours a year? Maybe the mower and blower were not used to any extent and just sat somewhere gathering dirt and rust. Has the tractor been serviced?

All this is just one guy's opinion. Good luck!

I don't think there would be many satisfied clients..... Without loaders that is.

Even st 660 that is low hours for a machine that age. a new front blower for a comparable is about 3,000. the belly mower is about 2,000. Difference is the new tractor would probably be hydro, better transmission for both tools.
