I have a ZD21 that needs warranty work done. There is a recall on the park brake, and I have another issue with one of the brakes grabbing when the unit is cold. Does anyone know if Kubota dealers are suppose to pick up and drop off units, of am I suppose to drop off/pick up?
I know some dealers do, but is this just a courtesy, or is it part of the warranty?

Thanks

Boner, the warranty booklet reads, in part, "To obtain warranty service . . . ., you must deliver the product to an authorized Kubota dealer, along with proof of purchase." In other words, those dealers who pick up and deliver them at no charge are doing so either out of courtesy, or by an agreement between the dealer and purchaser at the time of sale.

Ben,

I don't know of any manufacturer that includes pickup/ delivery under warranty... that would be the customer's responsibility or as you say... a friendly dealer perk...

that is a reason to have a relationship with you local dealer, an out of state dealer cann't do that for you. i am a boat dealer and we will give that added service to someone who buys a boat from us or one of our real good service customers. this is something that the dealer has to eat because no one is going to pay for it.

Ok. That's kinda what I figured.
Thanks guys. I'm at work, and don't have my little warranty booklet, but figured I'd get a quick answer here.

I specifically waited for my 50 hour service to get the warranty stuff done. Free pick up and delivery right ? Nope, I get the bill with an extra $70 charge. I called the dealer, and nope no mistake. I only live 4 miles away, I could have driven it over there! My JD dealer doesn’t charge and he’s 40 miles away.

As I have been visiting dealers trying to find my first tractor, I've asked them all about warranty service. Since I don't own a trailer to transport the tractor to their shop I was extremely interested about how service would be performed. Most indicated, that if possible, they would perform most service work (warranty or otherwise) in the field. As mentioned in the other posts some dealers even indicated that if the tractor needed to come back to the shop for service, they would pick it up at no charge.
